DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Fiji on Sonaisali Island

When you arrive in Fiji, you will be greeted by our wonderful partners with a warm “Bula!”. All your questions will be answered and they will show you where to meet your shuttle transfer. After a quick 25-minute ride, you’ll find yourself at DoubleTree reception where they will give you a nice warm cookie and load your bags onto a boat for your 3-minute ride across a small channel to the island of Sonaisali. You’ll feel the famous and friendly Bula spirit as soon as you arrive.

You’ll arrive before check-in so you can either leave your bags with reception and explore the resorts many amenities or if you want access to a room immediately, ask us about booking a day room for your first day.

Start your day with a guided morning walk along the golden beaches of your resort or a guided garden tour. Take on the waters of the Pacific Ocean with jet skiing, windsurfing, snorkeling, sailing or water skiing. Enjoy a game of table tennis or stretch your legs at your resort’s tennis court. Explore the palm tree-lined island with short hikes, walking and jogging tracks.

Take a shuttle or taxi into Nadi

Nadi (pronounced nan-di) is a multi-cultural town with great food, drink and plenty of culture! A shuttle runs from the resort a few times a week. Check with the front desk to get the schedule or book a transfer at the tour desk.

• Stroll Down Main Street – Your shuttle will drop you off at Jack’s of Fiji on Queen Street. This is the main hub where you will find great restaurants, bars and souvenir shops. Haggling is recommended to get the best price for your take home gifts!
• Nadi Town Market – This local shopping experience is packed with local fruit and vegetable stands selling a colorful array of produce. Local artisans also sell their wares. The best day to visit is Saturday when all the stalls are full.
• Fiji Cultural Village – Learn about local traditions and history. Participate in the iconic Kava Drinking Ceremony or head here in the evening for a great Fijian buffet and fire dancers.
• Sri Siva Temple – This colorful Hindu Temple is a great way to learn more about the mutli-cultural aspects of Fiji’s history as part of the British Empire.
• Sabeto Hot Springs and Mud Pools – Located outside town, these mud pools are a great chance to get closer to nature. Relax in the natural mineral waters and smear yourself in the healing mud.
• The Garden of the Sleeping Giant – This perfectly landscaped tropical garden is majestically in the shadow of the Sleeping Giant Mountain. You see a huge diversity of fauna curated for decades. A major highlight is the hundreds of colorful orchids.
• Koroyanitu National Heritage Pake – Explore Fiji’s highland jungle with hiking trails leading to waterfalls.
